lotesseI have all this fic that, like, almost ready to post. But I can't seem to actually get anything finished. Bah.
I didn't post about this ep - the one with Baba Yaga where no one can decide how that name is pronounced - when it aired, but I found myself in need of a rewatch this afternoon while grading, and - damn. This is everything I ever watched out of this show, I think. Because, y'all, Kenzi is Vassilisa the Brave. She is the fucking fairytale princess who goes into the house of the witch and outwits her by being kind and observant and determined and badass. She's doing this sidekick thing, right, because someone has to - Bo, like, totally needs a sidekick, and Kenzi really likes the cut of her jib. But just because she's playing sidekick at prez doesn't mean she won't still pull out the fucking princess if she has to.
I love this show so much for allowing her to briefly inhabit the traditionally feminine-heroic space without confining her to it.
