This will amuse you: I met with my grad advisor for the first time today and gave him a slightly simplified description of how Lirael and her co-workers are the most bad-ass librarians ever. ("And the stacks are locked off to the general public and most of the employees because they're not quite sure what's living down there.")
That's awesome! I love the way we're all still really acting out childhood fantasies - I can't tell you how often I re-read the one where Anne Shirley gets a BA in English over the last few years!
