I'm not entirely sure that my cat isn't dead.

He's 16, been outside most of his life, fought his battles, been around. He's been gone for three days. He's never gone overnight.

I wish I knew what happened to him; he's been mine for three quarters of my life. I really think he's dead.

That's my recurring terror. Mine is a stray, not quite two, who turned up almost a year ago. So far the longest she's been gong is five hours and I was paralysed with fright.

They do wander, I know, and I hope yours comes back safe and sound and with lots of stories. Is a neighbour away or anything - could he have got trapped in a shed or garage?
