pretty boys with big long knives.
Feb. 8th, 2007 09:14 pmI swear to god that the Supernatural tonight was fic. In a glorious, wonderful way.
They're both just so terribly terribly sweet. The jagged camera at the beginning, the way it was just sort of slipping. It was desperate and beautiful. Dean's priorities are breathtaking--he goes to Sam instantly, no questions, no anger. His first instinct is to protect. We're not even going to discuss the possibility that you just killed someone. We're going to destroy the evidence first.
Sammy was fucking well crying in that motel room. Those little sounds, just, my God they ripped my heart out. He was so silent in this ep, so totally wrecked. Oh, honey. And if they were doing that to me, just think of what they were doing to Dean, and he had to know that he couldn't do anything to make it better.
I love that even when he's worried off of his skull Dean can make Sam look like a dork. Justin Timberlake indeed. Bad Dean. I love you baby.
Possessed!Sam is hotter than anything has a right to be. Srsly. Panties burning, people. The size of his ridiculously overgrown body against Jo, his hands, my God. And the twist of his mouth. Not that, you know, nonconsensual sex is col or anything. But just the mmmm of him.
The Boy was very excited about the Doors soundtrack, with Sam and Jo. And speaking of Jo, did she not suddenly get cool? And interesting? And a lot hotter than she was before she grew up and struck out on her own? I could almost, amost want Dean to feel for her, because she wants it so badly. And I sort of cared about her being happy, like, a lot more than I ever have before. Oh, but I missed Ellen.
Bobby! Yay Bobby with his paranoid holy water beer. (Only it's not really paranoia if they really are out to get you, I guess.)And Jesus God, Possessed!Sam speaking creepy!ass!Latin. Ovaries go boom now.
That's the second time Sammy's shot Dean under the influence of somebody's whammy. Does anything ever mess with Dean like that? Andy gets him, but Dean doesn't do anything to anyone else. I really want to tie Sma being possessed by the demonspawn to his apocryphal "destiny," some reason why this happened other than Meg's revenge. Not that Meg's revenge wasn't shiny, because it so totally was. But I think this was maybe more mytharc-y than it would first seem. Because she's the YED's daughter. She can talk all she wants about not caring about the Big Plan, but I don't trust her.
The hunters are getting more and mroe alienated from the Winchester boys. First Gordon, now this. and again, there's Ellen hanging out there--Sammy almost killed her Jo. She gonna let that fly? But yeah, why do I get the feeling that at somepoint we're going to be running away from a whole pack of pissed-off demonhunters?
This really was fic, except with slightly less mackage. Pushing, pushing, pushing. How much does Dean love his baby brother? What will he put Same before? And the answer is that he loves him infinitely. but Chekov's Law had better still be in effect--they're the ones who keep bringing up the fratricide issue. That gun's been pretty obviously displayed for a while know, and I'm still waiting for it to go off. Mytharc now, Kripke. You're sort of starting to run out of time and/or patience, here. String this out any further and it's going to get silly.
Poor boys. I think Kripke just gave us the woobie episode to end all woobie episodes. (but why no hugging? this ep needed way more hugging.) Now I wanna watch it about sixty more times. In a row. Oh Dean. Oh, Sam. And next week's promo hee hee hee. Made of awesome.
I love my show so, so much. Because it is a thing made of shiny and emo and oh, boys!
