Caspian!

So, apparently, the new Caspian is old (25) and also really really hot. Strangely, I find myself okay with this.

Really, Movie!Peter got Caspian's story grafted on to him in the last one. I've been wondering how they were not going to end up with a deeply redundant boy-becomes-king story.

I think that it was always the older Caspian that I loved. The one who was sixteen and a king. And if we an start out with that the first time around, my ovaries are in complete agreement with that. but it had better not mess up the Caspian/Lucy subtext. Then again, last time there was Lucy/Tumnus subtext, and I definitely didn't see that one coming.

Oh dear god make this movie now. And dye his hair blond. The blond hair is very very important, people.

It was reported as an April Fools joke *then*. But then it was re-reported recently (http://www.narniaweb.com/wotsarchive.asp?m=1&y=2007#1067) with no joke disclaimer attached. So I'm still a little afraid.

HO SNAP. He is freaking HOT. And I'm glad that I'll finally be able to see a Narnia movie without feeling dirty about wanting one of the protagonists! (Tumnus didn't count-- he had freaking hooves and he still made me feel guilty!) So yay to this news! XD

Although the Caspian in the BBC wasn't too bad--Samuel West, I think his name was. And he was also in Jane Eyre and Howard's End, so I think that makes it cool to lust after him.

I second the idea that there's an addition to the Narnia cast that doesn't make me feel dirty/like Mrs. Robinson (I thought Peter was cute, so sue me). But yes, blond hair, very important.

Just to add because i just saw it on IMDB, he plays a young Dustan Thorne in the Stardust movie. The more I see the more i think this boy may be made of shiny.
