So, not meaning to be wanky or anything, but since when does fandom_wank exist for pointing out interesting and heated discussion? It's wanky to think, now? I thought that you were only wanky when you were being smug and self-righteous and generally ridiculous. And, y'know, I don't really think that talking about whether or not racism and birth control are problems within fanfic is all that ridiculous.

This bums me out. The oldskool f_w amused me, in a sick and twisted sort of way. But this...blargh. Can't we keep the anti-intellectualism in politics?
