Christ why will this paper not end?! I keep writing - and it keeps getting bigger. Am now over minimum page length, nearing maximum, and I still have waaaay to many notecards left unincorporated.

... I think I may have over-researched. Curse Ivanhoe anyway, for having both Jews and Saracens. How can I write about one and leave out the other?! But on the other hand, I want to be done with this asdaklsjf paper.

I turned in my draft introduction and an outline for the rest of my paper last month, and at the meeting my advisor said, "You realize this could be a book" and I said, "Yeah, but I'm only going to write it as 25 pages" (which is the max length). So I don't actually think it's possible to over-research; at least for me the trick is not to digress from the shortest path possible though the paper.

Speaking of which, back to work.

Ivanhoe! My main vague memory of reading it in undergrad for fun is, "Wow, Ivanhoe is really kind of an ass towards Rebecca but at least she's awesome enough to make up for it."

Ivanhoe was strangely hot especially when wounded

Hee! It's nice to see fandom kinks developing at such an early age. :)

I must say, despite my great love for the entire process of writing critical papers, seven months is not enough time to miss that panicked, chaotic, why won't this eeeeeend feeling. :) The PhD is looming ever on the horizon, but wow, I am totally content to be assigning the papers and not writing them, for now.

I bet your paper will be amazing and worth it in the end, though. Good luck!
