The campus Take Back the Night rally was Saturday night. And I fell in love with another poet. Our keynote speaker was spoken word poet Alix Olson, and oh my god, this woman is amazing. Beautiful. It felt surprisingly good, surprisingly important, to hear an adult stand up and say the things that we say all the time. It was something that I didn't know I needed, but when it happened I felt like crying.
