So. I watched Supernatural last night for the first time in about a year. Because Michael Shanks is adorable, and I thought that Apoca!Daniel + Winchesters could just possibly = awesome.

I backbuttoned out twenty minutes into the ep. Any guesses why?

So not sorry that I stopped watching that show. It really hasn't changed. And now I feel distinctly relieved to have made it out, to no longer have to care so much. It doesn't hurt in the same way once you've fallen out of love, it seems.

I got sucked back in due to the LA Con, and it seems just in time for it to kick me in the vagina again. at least you got out before the "On a good day you get to kill a whore" line, topped off by even worse at the end.

...yeah, I got online this morning and saw people posting about that line and thanked my instincts profusely. Because that? Not a thing I actually need to hear, yanno?

The only conclusion I can come to is that they literally hate us. This is so far beyond casual misogyny that I'm having a hard time believing it aired on television.

Yeah, last night's ep was really bad. I stick with it because I am curious how they manage to end it all, and because I was promised this was the last season, so it seemed like, well, just tough it out to the end, you know? And I will tough it out til the end of season five, but I really don't think I'll be watching season six.

I really don't miss the feeling of toughing that show out, for serious. If the Winchesters were still both pinging me, maybe - but they stopped doing it for me a good while ago, and with the rest of the show engaging in such egregious badness, I figured it was kinder to let myself off the hook!

Yeah, the apocalypse cannot come soon enough for me - if I somehow manage to make it through this season, that is IT, I'm done. I'll be over here, watching Aeryn and John kick ass and respect each other in the morning, thank you.
