Gwen! Gwen being all pretty! And - dear sweet Jesus, Lancelot is made of sex. And Gwen and Morgana with their big snuggly hug at the end!

Maybe this is just because of my saturation with the Matter of Britain, but the eps this season have felt less like a united show and more like - well, a bigbang. They're all snapshots of possible stories and pairings, with different emphasis and tone. There's The One Where Arthur and Gwen Have Forbidden Love, and The One Where Morgana Has a Destiny, and The One Where Merlin Feels Neglected by Arthur, and The One Influenced by Tennyson Where Lancelot is the Hot Virtuous Knight in Lurve With Gwen. They could all conflict with each other, but at the moment I'm really content to take them as kaleidoscopic.

So I kind of ate Glee whole night before last. It's sparkly! There's choreography! And Kristin Chenoweth! And god I hate the wife, Terri, but my total and irrational passion for Rachel is making up for it. She's so - she has nothing but her talent, and she's using it like a shield, and nothing ever goes quite the way she wants it to, and I adore her completely.

The Glee Cast "Don't Stop Believin" is my new happy motivated place. It's - sunshine and optimism. And angels.

I actually think that this Merlin storyline is about all those things, that they're setting it up to be more like Malory. Which is why they're setting the Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot triangle. I guess that will leave, Morgana and Merlin on the outside. Hmmm.

I had the same thought, re: Merlin. I would have expected this season to feel more like it has an arch, rather than an attempt to go through certain things point by point. I don't know, if I was writing this, I would've made the whole season Morgana-goes-anti-Camelot - start that plotline with the first episode and keep working on it throughout the season. Gwen/Arthur could have been woven into that storyline, slowly, rather than getting one feature episode. It feels like they made that ep just to get it over with.
