Okay, so is there not a fic comm for hobbits, gen and slash? Something like the West of the Moon Archive? Because that's the comm I want to be reading - fic about hobbits, and about how much they lurve each other, with possible sexing. There's hobbit_slash, but that only seems to get fairly explicit stuff. I'm talking about, like, baylorsr's work, or teasel's genfic.

I did an interests search this morning, which led to nowt. These spaces seem to be pretty common off-eljay - are there just not any around these parts?

Hmm, perhaps so. I think The Last Ship was started when the fate of LJ was a little on the dubious side.
