Giles is awesome. Giles is, like, made of awesome and kickass and also adorability. For some reason, there's nothing that makes me happier than those bits where Giles does the "stand up for Buffy and get all growly and Rippertastic" thing - and it will forever break my heart that he never got the chance to hand Riley a little bit of that whoopass.

Also? In my head, late Season Five is totally when Buffy and Giles started having sex. That whole "woe to me, I cannot feel" thing that B. was rocking. Clearly a plea for Giles' sexy, sexy body.

Actually, thinking of Giles and his eminently eloquent British badassedness doesn't quell the rage, as such, but it does help to direct it. I have a very well researched, strongly worded letter to write this weekend...

In other news, how are the kitten? I had physically restrain myself from petting the screen when I saw the pictures.

They are so darn cute. Their little eyes are open, and they wake up when you talk to them, and they'll roll over for you if you scratch their chubby little bellies. I'm going to miss them so much - I have to go home in three days for the summer, and there's just no way I can take them home. One of my friends is going to take them, and she lives in my building so it'll be an easy move for them, but I'll miss their little squeaky noises an awful lot.

Oh well. They'll still be darling when I get back in August, and I'm mainly just glad that Bea managed to find a home to have her babies in, instead of being out on the street.

Of all the "Ohmygodno inappropriate desire" pairings, Giles/Buffy is the most plausible to me.

Yeah. B/G is one of the only Jossverse pairings that I'm pretty much always okay with. Like, I'd be totally okay with Buffy leaving Angel for Giles, and I ship B/A with an embarrassing intensity. But Giles just loves her so much! And she needs him. And yeah, it's kind of inappropriate, but as she gets older they do have this adorable tendency to play matriarch and patriarch. Anyway, with the Slayer dynamic in there, I'm not sure Giles could ever really have power over Buffy in that sort of badwrong way. She rules the roost, and he knows it.
