Oct. 10th, 2005 03:56 pmLast night I realized that if I want to write for Yuletide, which I very much do, I'd better get moving on a New Year's Resolution. And now I seem to be writing Taran Eilonwy like a crazy thing--I've got nigh six bunnie for various things, one of which might actually garner a bit of length.
I, like the fool that I am, left all my Prydain at home, so I went on a jaunt to the Public Library, as the College Library doesn't carry such stuff. I got:
The High King
Anne of Ingleside (the Anneishness has not entirely passed yet)
Anne of Green Gables (Unabridged CD)
The Grey King (Unabridged CD)
A Wrinkle in Time (Unabridged CD)
David Sedaris (CD)
and the crowing glory of the expedition, the Salmon of Doubt, unabridged on CD, read by Simon Jones, Cristopher Cerf, Richard Dawkins, and Stephen Fry.
I win at life, and also kiddie lit.

Date: 2005-10-11 03:34 am (UTC)I've always listened to audiobooks, mainly because I've always had a hard time falling asleep, and listening to a story helps to relieve the tedium.
P.S. total passionate love for Edward Gorey, who also rocks the house.
