Nov. 3rd, 2004 04:34 amYou know what makes it all so much worse?
Bush. Won.
At least in 2000 there was anger. He didn't win. There was something to fight, to protest, to be passionate about. The system was still sane, and the Bad Guys were trying to mess it up, and we had to defend the blessings of liberty.
But Bush won the popular vote. Not just the electoral; the popular vote. He won, and right now it seems like he won fair and sqare. The voice of the people has spoken, and the people want Bush.
How can you fight that? How can you be angry? There was a record turnout in so many states, and the electoral college is electing the man chsen my the popular vote. This is how it's supposed to work, right?
Except that, now that the people have spoken, I can't help but think that the people are dumbasses. And it just makes me miserable. And there's really nothing that I can do or say, because Bush. Won. The Vote.
Oh god.
