Oh I am trying to be a person, but after two years of pandemic it's so hard to remember how. Got my hair cut; I feel too short, but I know so much better than the xtian fundy-looking ratty long braid I'd been working with.

Saw Cyrano in the cinema twice, and loved it in spite of -- because of? -- the schlocky schmaltzy musical vibe. It fit the ridiculously elevated tone and premise of the material somehow. & Dinklage is so lovely fully unleashed as a leading man. Then came home & rewatched Roxanne, & felt very affectionate at Steve Martin for a while.

If there's solace at the moment, it's the knowledge that so many others are in the same weird place of trying to remember how to make choices and live life. It's comforting to know that it's not just you!

I haven't seen Roxanne since the late 80's and don't remember much about that movie. Peter Dinklage is cool though.

I've never seen Roxanne! I should add it on my list of oldies to consider.
