For the first time in my life, I really believe in this moment that I will live to see a female president. I never knew it would feel this important. I don't think I thought it would ever really happen.

At first I was just like "...wha? this night of all nights?" I mean, it's a rather anticlimactic way for it to happen, but it just keeps creeping on me. Our first female nominee EVER. She could be president. All things considered, she must be president. And a woman who has dedicated so much of her life to advocating for women.

I was reading some slightly older articles about her the other day, and one had quite a few great quotes, but the pinnacle was when the interviewer asked her if she thought she'd been subjected to misogyny in her career, and Hillary was like ".......is this a real question."

I'm getting more and more excited the longer I think about it, honestly. I just!! President.

I know. Just the words "Madame President" gives me shivers.

All else being equal, I'd go for a woman. But all things are so not equal right now!
