Do you have insomnia, or are you just working really hard at schoolwork? I sometimes find it hard to go to sleep if I have work to do and no schedule during the day. Can I offer you any support/commiseration/advice? Recipes? Insomnia+isolation+some other stuff you posted=uh oh, is there anyone on the spot being helpful?
Weirdly enough, I was BORN with insomnia. It takes me at least half an hour to fall asleep at night, sometimes a lot more. By the time I was two my parents had figured out the audiobook trick, and my laptop still sleeps next to my pillow & talks all night. But, yeah, the exam period stress + pre-existing insomnia = fun!
I won't lie - these high-stress moments really make me aware of how different life is without an in-home support system. Most of the time I don't mind being on my own, but there are a few weeks in the year when it gets tough. But I can see the end of the tunnel - I think a lot of my current argh has to do with the fact that I'm moving all my stuff out of my apartment on Saturday, so everything's totally exploded right now. My space is disrupted, so I feel disrupted. But that will be over soon, and I think I'm NAILING my seminar paper this term, so that's very yay.
Um, thanks so much for the concern/offer. It actually helped really a lot just to have someone ask that. Thank you.
