Am alternating between two novels: New Woman Mona Caird's The Daughters of Danaus, which is lovely and meandering and stirring and, typical of its genre, simultaneously thrilling and enraging and deeply depressing - and Lois McMaster Bujold's Shards of Honor. Why did I wait so long before picking up the Vorkosigan Saga?! It's absolutely delicious.

Both books highly recommended.

Yay for the Vorkosigan Saga! I actually just went out and picked up two of the omnibus editions. I don't know why it took me so long to read these, either--I already knew Bujold=fantastic.

I am glad you are enjoying them!

I hadn't read them before! I picked them up in January for the first time and read pretty much the entire series in a month.

I'd read Bujold's high fantasy duology, Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls, which are fantastic as well (though very different from the Vorkosigan books).

That's what I said, about 2 years and 3 re-reads ago.
