Just caught this on my network and I think I am in love with this post. The idea of reparative reading is so very much what I want from my engagement with problematic sources -- I was trying to write about that in reference to a specific fandom a few weeks ago, and I wish I'd had the term. Because yes, so much yes: seeing a problem is a starting point, not a goal in itself; being able to address the problem is crucial. And addressing it with creative expression is awesome.
