I keep opening the post interface window and then closing it bc I feel like I'm whining to no purpose. But I love you all and think of you often. I am trying to read trying to write trying to keep working trying to. I put up all of my books today and felt better. I'm on tumblr a lot, looking at pretty pictures and bits of poetry.

Increasingly going back to avoiding the news. Politics feels rn like the time period when you've left the abuser & now he tries to fuck up your life as much as possible before the window closes.

A's and my libraries don't have too many overlaps. We've got double paperback copies of Perelandra, two hardback copies of The Amber Spyglass, and assorted pre-2000s LotR paperback volumes (ie, non-movie covers). We would have had double copies of Mariel of Redwall, if I hadn't got rid of my Redwall books awhile back.

I got out my LotR DVDs a few weeks ago, and was bemused to realize how low-def those first released sets are! Watching on A's tv, they came out all pixelated. I'd been worried they were too scratched to play, but they worked just fine -- for a certain definition of fine
