So - maybe I'm antisocial, but I hate voicemail. Part of this is due to my stupid stupid phone, which doesn't let me skip messages and inevitably doesn't notify of new ones until waaay too late. Part of it is that I really resent anyone outside of my immediate social circle expecting phone communication. IDK, it's weird.
But I just found out that this job, which I applied for via email, who have communicated with me multiple times over the last three months through email, apparently only sent me notice of my hiring by phone - which went to voicemail!
I emailed earlier in the week asking if I'd missed something - the timeframes were going all wonky - and lo and behold. I'm sure I'm being weird, but I have a perfectly good email and I'd love it if prospective hirers could stick with that!
Anyway. At least I (think) I have a job? And it pays absolute buckets of money, at least compared to my current impoverished circumstances. But. Irritation!
