I'm home! Ten days of Chicagoing and drinking vodka with my gran, and I'm feeling a lot better about the state of the world in general. Read "Return of the Native" on the train, because Hardy is never not a good thing, yo. Classes start tomorrow, but I don't have anything until my 7:00 Creative Nonfiction workshop, so go me.

Also, am almost finished with the thesis. Added some Bahktin, which helped.

Though I might be closer than that, because 30,000 words may well be over my required pagecount.

Okay, so I have a deeply embarrassing and weird-ass request. Do any of you blessed girls have a copy of the 2002 Disney "Ring of Endless Light" movie? I ask because someone on Jezebel posted about "Meet the Austins," and then everybody was talking about Zachary Grey, and even though I was always a Calvin O'Keefe girl myself I need the Padalecki like crazy burning.

(God it's so ironic, because I actually remember when this came out and I swore and raged about it. Which I still probably would do, but for the siren lure of the Jayred. So ickle! Zachary Grey, people. Jared Padalecki. There is nothing there that is not of the good.)

But I can't find it anywhere! Netflix denies me, Amazon scoffs in my general direction, YouTube only offers three-minute clips of Mischa Barton swanning around pretending to be a mermaid. There are no torrents, and the damn thing apparently isn't for sale anywhere. And I waaaaant it! My craving for bad adaptations of beloved childhood novels featuring really hot current tv crushes rages like a flaming inferno! I will totally spend money on this thing, in exchange for the sexy ridiculosity of ickle wee Jayred and his ickle wee terrible taste in movie projects.

Have any of you seen it? Do any of you have it? I crave, I gasp, I pine!
