since i found serenity

Been on a big Firefly kick--the local video store has it all on dvd, which is shiny.

It's always interesting to watch how my mother and sister react to genre and fannish stuff, because it's so not a part of their worlds. The don't have the context that I have, and some of it I think kind of passes them by for that reason. You can't spot innovation if you don't know about what came before it.

Last night it snowed for about an hour, around 2:00 am. Big fat flakes, drifting and not falling. But there's no snow on the ground. I keep having a hard time realizing that it's not still November.

Can't wait for Yuletide yay
