HOW do I have poison ivy all over my neck and chest?! This is Not Fair. Went to student health center this morning, am now slathered with topical steroid ointment. Itches itches itches oh god argh.

(also due to [casting spoiler], I'm quite possibly watching Supernatural tomorrow night. I just can't resist him!)

Is it really poison ivy and not hives in reaction to the pollen count? Were you out hiking? I don't know where you are, but in a lot of the US there has been a big spike. Oddly enough, I had hives from high pollen in graduate school.

I went to student health and asked the doctor, "Is it hives?"

"No," she responded, "It's GIANT hives."

So there you have it. I took over-the-counter Benadryl and it brought them down. Not that it makes a difference, they're all histamine reactions. I will keep a good, non-itchy thought for you.

Nope, really poison ivy. Doctor-confirmed! I spent Easter sunday chasing a nine-year-old around backwoods southern Indiana, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised!
