they flesh out all the stuff you get in early seasons from the episodes Maternal Instinct and Kheb and Lost City -- we meet more Ancients and learn about, in season 9, another group of ascended-like beings called the Ori, who are EVIL.
But the whole non-interference thing continues to be very problematic.
The whole way the gateverse treats religion is a huge disappointment to me, but i basically ignore their take on it and substitute my own, or spin it in a way that i can make sense of.
