lotesseThe worst thing about the shootings in PA is that I know patriarchy is going to dodge responsibility for it, and because of that we'll learn nothing. It'll all just happen again. They feed men full of resentment against women, inundate them with images of sexypretty violence against women, and then get all shocked and pearl-clutchy when men actually do women harm. But of course they do - rape culture is everywhere.
Ish like this makes me get really bitter. All the fake-o handwringing comes to nothing, because the underlying illness goes purposefully unmentioned.

worth formulating what you just wrote into letters to the editors, EVEN if they don't get posted/published. I'm gonna.
