01. What are your nicknames?
Online, Lóti, from the old Prancing Pony boards. IRL, I repel nicknaming - I've no idea why.
02. How do you style your hair?
Longish. Right now my hair falls about to my bustline, side-parted, with some shorter bits around my face. I've never dyed it, so it's a dark honey-blonde, and it's kind of curly sometimes, depending on the humidity. I encourage the curl.
03. What's new in your life right now?
Does the kitten still count? She's coming on to six months now, and she's adorable. Yes, this is the one that was unexpectedly born in my closet last spring.
04. How many colours are you wearing now?
Two - my nightgown is pale rose with black trim.
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Introvert.
06. What are you doing while filling out this meme?
Getting ready to go print and mail writing samples for my graduate applications. Panicking. Trying not to panic. Snuggling the kitten.
07. Do you nap a lot?
No, because I have insomnia, and sleep never comes easy.
08. If the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do?
It's been so long since this seriously happened to me - I've been with my boyfriend for six years, so even when I'm looking, I don't really have a lot of emotional tension riding on anything.
09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Depression and anxiety derived from applicationing? I feel so stuck-record, but it's kinda all-consuming, yall.
10. What's your favorite dessert?
Something loaded down with criminal amounts of chocolate. Rich, not sweet.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Half an hour, maybe? Longer if I'm teaching. I rig for teaching, in an attempt to not look exactly like just another of my students.

eljay, shakesville, jezebel, pajiba, chaos theory, shapely prose, I blame the patriarchy
13. Do you ever think about the race of the people on your flist (who you've never met in real life)?
Yes. Several of the people on my flist are very publicly identified as being Fans of Color, because of their involvement in various fandom race imbroglios. I think that our backgrounds and the quantity of privileges we possess has an inevitable influence on the way we think, read, watch, and write - so yeah, I pay attention.
14. Do you like to clean?
No, but I will.
15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
Pink's new single, owing to the fact that The Boy can't seem to bally well stop singing it.
16. What's the last DVD you bought?
A box set of the old BBC Narnia programs, on sale for eleven dollars by the checkout at the grocery store last week.

Lived on a boat? Homeschooled? ...I feel boring now.

Ben and Jerry's halfbaked.

it's all ups and downs, baby.

putting applications behind me. Getting back into the classroom. When I have the time, going to see friends in the city. Yuletide going public!
