I find that I really don't care what JK's got to say on her site.

Because it's not canon if she can't find some way to work it into the books. You don't get to add stuff to your world like that, with no fuss or bother as to keeping exposition in character. In a way it's quite lazy. Frankly, if she can't work the details into a story somehow then I'd rather she left the spots open for the rest of us. I don't mean to sound bitchy about it, but I liked it better when the world was that which was in the books and anything that your imagination felt like adding. And I'd like to keep it that way.

And, on an unrelated note: I love dancing, especially dancing the old dances. Hip hop, sure, it's fun and sexy, but there is no joy greater than the old dances. The formal chaos of the dizzy waltz, the fluid-rigidity of swing, the woven intricacy of contra. I love them so. It's like flying, but controlled, patterned. Absolutely perfect.

I'm the same way about interviews. I'm very "books only, please" myself. Sure the author can sometimes have something interesting to say about the books that offers insight into them, but I'm not into this type of thing.

Also, I love that kind of dance as well.:-)

This is the excellent thing about my college-- we actually do that sort of thing, and on a fairly regular basis, too. Yay dancing.
