It is stupidly hot out, and so I am lying in bed drinking mango juice and watching through the second season of Angel. Oh Angel, you suffer so very prettily. He's my go-to guy for that sort of thing - no one else does it half so well. With the shirtlessness and the chains and the ... yeah.

I love that they bring Anne back in "Blood Money" - the girl that Buffy helped what, two, three years ago running into Angel as he goes off the rails. It's touching, and wistful, and I wish so much that he'd realized at some point where her name came from, that she borrowed it from B. because it made her feel stronger. I wish that connection had been fully realized, instead of remaining unspoken.

I've been watching Angel with my neice, and we're half way through season two and yes, lovely angst and broodiness etc etc. But I got slightly freaked in the ep where he did the trials to try to win (human) Darla a second chance and he is strung up in chains at one point, and not only is his chest completely hairless but... his ARMPITS were shaved. Weird. Just weird. I am all distracted by the hairlessness of the undead. When does he wax? And why?????

Distraction aside, I'm looking forward to seeing "Anne" again. She was a fascinating recurring character.

Maybe undeath causes hair loss? I think I was too fascinated by the yet-again-wounded-and-chained thing, but his armpits? Yeah, that's weird. Now I'm trying to remember if Spike is equally hairless, or if it's just an Angel thing.

Anne gets several Angel episodes, and they never really connect in her Sunnydale backstory, but she and Gunn have an adorable relationship so I'll forgive the Joss.
