But since they are only seven years apart, they could well be together later on...you would not like to write that?
I'm very much Jack's, which can occasionally cause characterizations mismatches. I tend to give Jack massive amounts of credit, and to read him in the most generous way possible. *nods* I am completely of your mind. I feel Jack is much undervalued very often. *sighs*
I might say that I wish we got canonical Jack!torture that was as deliciously ott as Stephen's experiences at Port Mahon - but that's a very very selfish wish. Yesyesyeses. Unfortunately we do not even get fanfic Jack!torture or at least Jack!hurt-Stephen!comfort because Stephen is just the pits when it comes to bedside manners...
