   liek duh
2. donkeyskin:
   current favorite fairy tale about a girl who flees her home due to her father's desire for her, disguises herself with animal skins and/or fur, and with her dresses as shining as the moon, as brilliant as the sun, and as bright as the stars, not to mention some badass cooking skillz, wins the heart of a prince who can see beyond surface appearances. There is going to be a paper. And lots of love.
3. femslash:
   this is rilly rilly hot, if done correctly. am bitextual, so have all options listed.
4. harry potter:
   not so much anymore, maybe. I was a kid when they first came out, and loved them mightily. Now I mainly just like to take them apart. Textual deconstruction yay!
5. inuyasha's ears:
   current irresistable turn-on. oh my god with the hotness. just...no coherence. yeah.
6. litslash:
   given a choice, I'd rather slash a book than a movie or tv show, which seems to be rather unusual. meh. subverting text is just more fun. if anything, my thing for litslash places my slashing in context with the rest of my life--I've always loved digging into texts, finding their hidden ways and dark secrets. slash is just one of the more fun ways of doing it.
7. narnia:
   first true fannish love. I can't remember my first time there, but it was assuredly before I could read. Lewis is my fannish backbeat, the first channel that my imagination flowed through. even now, most of my assumptions and preconceptions about what the fantastic is like comes from Lewis. there are no words for how much I love Narnia.
8. rareslash:
   tied to the litslash thing. most of the stuff that I come up with or want to read is a little off the beaten track. but even without that, there's definately a charm to finding fic for something ridiculous or unforseen.
9. snape:
   god of sex. doesn't look like Alan Rickman, although I'll keep the voice, which is too good to let go of so easily. did not betray Dumbledore. was not in love with Lily. is completely fabulous. has great clothes. is disturbingly hot when paired with Hermione. the rest of the time, he's just hot.
10. the odyssey:
    so much better than the Iliad oh my god. Penelope is wonderful, the sex goddesses rock, and Athena kicks so much ass with her illicit Odysseus-loving.
