well shit.

prospectus not good enough yet. revising and redefending at the end of the semester; I just have to get my scope wrangled down. committee said they didn't know what to do with me, if they ought to penalize me for having too many thoughts. whole thing kind of a massive waste of energy, as what I basically received were the comments on my draft that I asked for a month ago, and didn't get from half the committee. I've got a strong draft that needs revision in response to comments.

fine. okay. I just wish this could all be done in a way that didn't drain me down so hard.
