You know what's irritating? I'm putting together a proposal for a section of Freshman Comp thematically centered around SFF and cultural studies - and all the good essays that come to my mind first are bits of fannish meta. Wargh. How are you all so much smarter than everybody else?!(Actually, I have really good feminist essays, but since I tend to get much of my chromatic theory/information in fanspaces I have far fewer citable sources for that, and I do want to balance the subject matter of the course.)
