My God, My God. Molly Ivins is dead and I'm sitting here crying in bed and I hate the world so much right now. She was...god mama called me over one of her columns just a few weeks ago. I can't believe this. Why do people I love, people we need, have to die?

I've been reading Victorian elegies all week long, and now I'm glad of it. They give me words. The whole world should weep this day, the stones shed tears and the sea fall silent. Feeling so the loss I cannot choose but ever weep the friend.

She was a light. I'll miss her terribly.
