I love the observations you've made here. It's important for girls to be angry, because we're told that it's so unseemly so that we don't realize how dangerous it is to oppressors, but it has to be useful anger.
I have the same problems that you have with The Taming of the Shrew, and the same love of Much Ado About Nothing. Shakespeare seemed to have a much better grasp and respect of women in the latter.
