First, this picture of Jayred is about going to end me. It has certainly ended my panties in a showery explosion of sparks. Though I do want to photoshop his ickle moles back in, because those are the best part, damn it.

My pattern with the show tends to be an immediate reaction of wild squee, with growing levels on anxiety and nitpicking as the week goes on. I do feel like the ep succeeded in that I was amused as anything the first time I watched it, and still amused the second, But this isn't going to be a re-watcher for me, because for one thing I'm here for the emopornish broyay, but mainly because I am really ambivalent about the gay jokes.

I love the whole "gay love saves the day" thing, and Corbett was such a genuine sweetie, and I do appreciate it. My problem is with ?Ed, because I don't like the implication that the sweet little queer boy was completely defined by his fairly amorphous crush on a homophobic cobag like Ed. You can think a guy's cute without having Gay Love that can Save the World, yo. It's knid of dismissing toward real queer love, because it assumes that queer love is a lesser thing, and requires as lesser emotional commitment from both parties.

I'm also still really uncomfortable with the continued shots of the dead body. Exploitative and gross, you guys. Not on.

(also, Prince Caspian comes out in 18 days.)

(Have not looked at Supernatural spoilers.) I'm starting to be interested in this show. Do you know if they ever show re-runs on TV? (I almost snorted my drink out my nose when I found out that actor who played Dean on Gilmore Girls is in this, and there's another character named Dean.)

Reruns used to be sunday evenings, but I don't have a telly any more, so I am unsure. But yes, you should in fact watch it. also? Go click on my link, because yeah, it's Dean from Gilmore Girls being amazingly hot. This is why you should be watching, y/y?

There's a fun clip on YouTube: someone created a Supernatural drinking game and it's well done and funny! The CW website says they have full episodes, but doesn't have all of them. Grr.

I've taken the less-fun but productive route: searched "Supernatural episodes on YouTube." The best part is I think I remember when this show started--I turned on the pilot, watched two minutes, and changed the channel.
