Supernatural 3.13 (spoliers!)

I facepalmed wildly at the death of the sweet little queer boy, because oh my god show do we have to write more angry letters? But then his GAY LOVE saved EVERYONE and PIERCED THE EVERLASTING VEIL OF DEATH, MKAY? So I'm happy with my show right now, because he was adorable, and I feel like if they played Corbett for laughs, they were at least tremendously affectionate laughs.
I love the sister. She's going along with it, but she's the smart, savvy one. She's holding up her own end of the venture, she's no one's token girl, she's not a fetishized popular girl geek love object, and I love her lots. She says things like LOVE AT FIRST GEEK! And she yells at her brother for giving her away like some kind of object!
BOYS CUSSING OMG YES PLEASE. And the dorky little skull bleepers. And the way that you could hear the roar of the Impala, and then the rock, and then BOYS. And their little private moments, and Dean YELLING for Sam that way that he does, all deep and bellowy and desperate. I LOVE IT when he does that.
"It's our Grand Canyon" kind of made me sniffy. And yay, continuity, but I really want them to get to go to the canyon for real, yes? Dean so rarely says he wants anything, so I want him to get that. And, god, two more months till the end of the deal? I didn't think, last spring, that they'd drag it out like this - it's going to end up hanging over the entire season, and it's claustrophobic and intense and lovely, but I didn't think we were going there.
Taxidermy is really creepy. Reeeeeaaally creepy. And Lesley Gore on loop! And Sammy in the party hat, and his ickle BRUISES n'aww Sammy.
(I wish there had been less of the lingering closeups on sweet little dead boy's corpse. Seems a little TOO disrespectful).
I'm surprised that there was so little SamnDean, but I actually enjoyed that. It's a perfect outsider pov - you get to see them as normal people, both more ordinary and freakier than we're used to them being.
