god's gonna cut you down

Oh my god, Supernatural tonight. I. Damn. Like that.

"Go Ask Alice"! With the yay!

"Dad says I'm gonna have to kill you" was more with the angst than I had thought it would dare go. And I'm so happy that the secret was fairly oblique in terms of plot--not giving it away, just upping the ante even more.

And I love this show for being aware and self-resistant to the "going to the dark side" themes. Because Dean is questioning this text in exactly the same ways that I am. How is it, exactly, that someone lke Sam can becme a warrior for the cause of Hell? It doesn't make any sense, and that makes it even more scary, but I love the feeling I'm getting that the show maybe isn't going to go anywhere so straightforward as the Evil Destiny path.

Dean crying out at the second explosion. My heart stopped I swear to god. And the touching after that, the ways their hands lingered around the ropes, the shaky tentative re-establisment of connection. The way they didn't hug, but were still almost leaning in to one another, magnetic.

And "Bitch," "Jerk." And the little smile on Sam's face. Oh, boys. This show makes me unable to breathe. My heart is still pounding like crazy, and oh it's good.

I'm not sure that I love Sam's drive to continue hunting. For a while, it was a nice reminder of all the unsolved angst between him and John, but now it doesn't quite make sense. Sam is unsure about the whole hunting thing. He hid from the visions of Jess, didn't want to come back to it. I just watched the first part of s1, and the contrast between his attitude then and his attitude now is maybe a little bit extreme.

Or I could just be burned that they're not going to Amsterdam. But a haunted hotel? Shiny.

The college just set up a new network that requires student login for internet access. Which, okay, the freshman class this year is at a record high, and the internet was so slow last term I was maybe gonna die. But something about the new system hates my laptop with firey passion. Two hours at the helpdesk this afternoon and they still can't figure it out. So my baby got left there for the night, on the condition that if it's not woring by tomorro afternoon I get exempted from the system. The Boy's computer is Not Right, though it's serving as a stopgap. But I'm still yanked about it.

Dean with the explosions killed me. And their reunion killed me again. This show makes me unable to breathe. Yes. Yes.

I don't know how Sam might be that great of a soldier in the Demon's EVOL army. I mean, yeah, he's got the training on his back, but I figure these children were chosen because of their powers ... Sam just sees the future. How is that going to be so amazingly useful? The only thing I can see happening is that he develops other powers along the way, but that would seem kind of cheesy, you know?

But then again, I think an episode in Amsterdam is just what these boys need. You know Dean just wants to get high. :)

Hello,
My name is Maria Elena. Since I'm creating a new community on Live Journal dedicated to Draco/Hermione, Lucius/Hermione, Blaise/Hermione and Snape/Hermione, I was wondering if you might be interested in joining silver_vs_gold. I would love having you there, and if you are an author, you can also post your stuff; if you’re not, you can always post something else (it’s all explained on the profile), or enjoy the other authors’ works. I’ve recruited a lot of talented authors, and as soon as the site is ready, and I receive feedback, they’ll start to post. In case you are interested, here there is the link:

And please forgive me if I annoyed you with this message; it wasn’t my intention.

Have a good day,
Maria Elena
