but maybe the rain isn't really to blame
Rocky Horror last night, the Boy's first ever. Dressed up all fabulous and walked to the theater in the freezing effing cold.
Still unimaginably cold here. It makes me really miss northern Michigan. At home, the lake shields us from the cold and channels it all into buckets of snow. So it's never bitter and there's always new clean fluffy snow to play in. But here the snow falls only in patches that alternate with deadly dark ice, and it's unattractive and slipery and cold cold cold.

I suppose it's the fault of the sea - it never stays all cold for very long, but it's still cold enough to chill you to the bones.
Northern Michigan sounds like a great winter place!
