I can't get to the big lake and it's messing me up inside. I'm so glad we drove in to the beach last time we went into the city, even tho it was too rainy to walk; otherwise i wouldn't have seen her for months now. They've closed the National Lakeshore at home, now, too, they're frightened about tourist waves going north.

I can't go to the beach in the city; can't drive to the Indiana Dunes. At least for a while. It's just -- I'm just coming up against it. I can't get to the big lake.

(I'm having a tough day today with feelings, but should also add that I'm well, safe, working, have food, have shelter. It snowed today, so I can't go out with the cats into the garden, and I'm spiraling a bit. I love you all; stay safe.)
