yuletide treasure
I love the Yuletide new year's resolution request list. It's a treasure-trove of lovely and unexpected ideas. If eve I need something to work on, I go there. Today I found an Into the Woods story and some Snow Queen femslash that I'm going to have to work on this summer and maybe could even pass as a non-fannish story if I ever wanted to use it that way. It's not that I'm ashamed of fic, or think it lesser, but it would be nice to have something that I could show people without having to explain about fic and fandom and whatnot.
Right now I love writing. I haven't loved it for a long time, and it feels a bit odd. Right now I love writing and I *don't* want to do academic work. It's been the opposite for most of the past year. St. John's rather squished writing out of me, and while I managed to hang on to poetry fic has been a distant dream ever since. But right now I love writing.
