I had fun with mine. Had some enjoyable conversations, and met a really nice guy who's still a friend. He's charming and old-fashioned, divorced with a daughter.
Had one date scheduled with a guy that made me feel very ... wary. I broke the date the day before it was scheduled -- and he got pissed off, so I'm glad I did!
Found that checking it on a Friday night was a bad idea: that's desperation night. Guys pinged me left and right in chat, but if the conversation didn't get sexual quick, they moved on just as fast. Had a ball talking to a young kid who seemed more like he was exploring talking to girls. (Hm. It occurs to me that he was probably younger than the 20 listed on his profile....) There was one guy who pursued me that didn't have a photo. I teased him about it -- and when he did put one up, it was the most badly photoshopped piece of work I've ever laid eyes on, lol.
I was cautious, developed relationships slowly, kept the conversations on OKCupid first, then email and chat (with a separate email account from my real email), then phone calls, then meeting in a public place. If a guy was interested he'd stick around for a slow build.
Overall it was a good experience. Brought my confidence back up after my fiance and I split. Even the desperation pings helped with that, hee.
