You know what's irritating? I'm putting together a proposal for a section of Freshman Comp thematically centered around SFF and cultural studies - and all the good essays that come to my mind first are bits of fannish meta. Wargh. How are you all so much smarter than everybody else?!(Actually, I have really good feminist essays, but since I tend to get much of my chromatic theory/information in fanspaces I have far fewer citable sources for that, and I do want to balance the subject matter of the course.)

Some of my classes have been struggling with the concept of antihero lately; today I'm treating them to "Jaynestown." I love it when fandom is academically appropriate. :D

Speaking of fannish meta, I have a friend who needs to find meta/semi-scholarly articles/blog posts/etc about fanfiction. I used to have many of these, but all my bookmarks died with the old laptop.

Help?
